Industry Consulting

Christensen & Ehret provides comprehensive legal consulting services to general contractors, construction managers, private and municipal owners, architects and engineers, subcontractors and vendors.  We are experienced in contract drafting and analysis, insurance-related advice and consultation on delay/defect claims and job safety issues.  Our primary goal is to maximize your business potential and minimize financial exposure.  To help realize this goal, we rely on our decades’ worth of knowledge of construction industry custom, practices and policy in the Midwest and nationwide.

            Litigation

Our attorneys have extensive experience in representing construction industry businesses in casualty defense claims, commercial litigation and contract disputes.  We are superb trial attorneys culled from government prosecutors’ offices and commercial litigation departments of traditional large law firms.  Our representation of clients has consistently secured better settlements and obtained favorable verdicts at trial.

Our extensive knowledge and understanding of the construction industry  -- from the bidding process to contract negotiations to insurance to safety concerns and liability issues --  allows us to see the whole picture when we develop your position in a litigation case.  Our attorneys meet with you and conduct a personal inspection of the job site and applicable documents.  An experienced trial attorney prepares an initial report and evaluation assessing the issues and possible outcome should the case go to trial.  We then pursue all available litigation positions through fact development and expert discovery.  If appropriate, we engage in settlement negotiations, mediation and other alternative dispute resolution.  Finally, if necessary, we try cases in federal and state courts to seek final resolution of the problem.
